List your gear
Snap a photo, add a short honest description of the condition, pick the sport and size — and it's live as a donation. Rackets, cleats, helmets, bikes, skis, whatever's gathering dust in the garage.
Browse & request
Search or filter listings near you by sport, size, or location. Request as many items as you like — membership includes unlimited requests.
Cover shipping & receive
Once a donor accepts your request, pay the actual shipping cost to get it sent your way. The donor ships it as a donation — they don't receive any payment. No haggling, just shipping, paid by you the requester.
What you can list
Anything sport-related that's still usable is fair game: bats, gloves, balls, pads, skates, boots, bikes, racquets, mats, and more. Be upfront about condition and wear — trust between members is what keeps the whole thing working. Every listing is a donation; the person giving it away doesn't receive anything back.
What it costs
Joining costs a small membership fee, priced only to cover what it takes to run SportGearTrader — servers, troubleshooting, and handling support requests. It's not a profit margin, just enough to keep things running. Membership includes unlimited requests — request as much gear as you need. Listing and donating gear is always free for donors. When you request an item, you cover the actual cost of shipping it to you; the person giving away the gear is donating it and receives nothing in return.
